In 2021, Jessica Pennock, Hub Clinical Lead, was recognized as a Knowledge Award Champion for her clinical audit on post-operative temperatures in cats and dogs.

The aim of this audit was to determine whether new equipment purchased by the practice – a warm air circulation blanket – was having a positive impact.

The audit showed that the monitoring of post-operative temperatures had improved by 43% and patients recovering with a temperature at or above 37°C improved by 73%.

Download the PDF and read the case example to get deeper insights into the methods and outcomes, and to apply these strategies in your own practice to enhance patient safety and care.
