In 2021, ChesterGates Veterinary Specialists was recognised as a Knowledge Awards Highly Commended runner-up for its work to improve theatre efficiency. Led by veterinary surgeon Mark Morton, the team borrowed the ‘golden patient’ initiative from human healthcare to improve the efficiency of surgical procedures which improved patient safety, and team wellbeing.
