Reporting clinical research Published 11 June 2021 | updated 14 February 2024 Once the research is completed it is important to report and publish it in a way that will enable others to understand, appraise and incorporate the findings into their own practice. Standardised reporting guidelines for different types of study, including those developed in human medicine, may provide useful information. Authors should also check the ‘guidelines for authors’ for individual journals. References marked VN were written specifically for veterinary nurses but may contain useful information for anyone considering undertaking practice-based research.
