Inpatient Feeding Audit by Wildbore Vetstop

PDF document (.pdf), 559kb, 13 pages.

This award-winning case example provides details on a clinical audit carried out by small animal hospital Wildbore Vetstop. The team won an RCVS Knowledge Award for Quality Improvement in 2025 for their audit on the use of feeding plans for inpatients.

The audit helped the team improve the creation and use of feeding plans, better document any interventions in cases of inappetence, make improvements in meeting patients’ resting energy requirements (RER), and drive greater awareness of patients’ diets across the team.
