Clinical applications aspirin tablesTo illustrate the application of the Consensus on the Rational Use of Antithrombotics in Veterinary Critical Care (CURATIVE) guidelines to the management of dogs and cats at risk of developing thrombosis the working group created a series of clinical cases that could be used to demonstrate how guideline recommendations could be applied. The case studies provided are
  1. A dog with immune mediated haemolytic anaemia
  2. Aortic thrombosis in a dog with protein losing nephropathy
  3. A dog receiving antithrombotic drugs that now requires surgery
  4. A dog with sepsis
  5. A dog with hyperadrenocorticism and pancreatitis
  6. Initial presentation of a cat with cardiac disease
  7. Subsequent presentation of a cat with cardiac disease and ATE
