2024 highlights
It’s a challenging time for the veterinary sector. Veterinary teams are experiencing significant pressures and facing uncertainty as the industry shifts and changes. Within this context we continue to support veterinary teams to provide evidence-based, quality care. Some of the ways we’ve done this include:
- Launching a contextualised care hub, which includes practical tools to support veterinary teams and pet owners to have better conversations.
- Celebrating the achievements of veterinary teams through the Plowright Prize, RCVS Knowledge Awards and Veterinary Evidence Student Awards.
- Continuing to develop and provide resources to support teams to embed quality improvement within their practice.
- Launching an Antibiotic Guardians scheme to encourage ongoing learning and responsible use of antibiotics.
- Highlighting lessons from history, including the work of Dame Olga Uvarov whose work has influenced veterinary practice across the world.
